MAH-CET

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) or MAH-MBA/MMS-CET is a computer-based test for admission to the first year of Two-year Full Time Post Graduate Degree Courses in MBA/MMS and PGDBM/PGDM in the state of Maharashtra.

Eligibility

A candidate should have passed with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline as recognised by the Association of Indian Universities.

Candidates appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply.

Test Duration and Pattern

MH-CET is a multiple choice objective type test that consists of questions in the following areas:

  • Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Logical/Abstract Reasoning

Paper Pattern: Online Test

  • Total Questions: 200
  • Time: 150 minutes

There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Syllabus of exam:

Quantitative Aptitude : Geometry, Ratios and Proportion, Percentages, In-equations, Quadratic and linear equations, Algebra, Profit & Loss, Averages, Percentages, Time-Speed-Distance, Work and time, BODMAS, Mensuration, Allegation & Mixtures, Work, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Probability, Permutations & Combination, Number system, data interpretation, etc.

Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension: Verbal Reasoning, Analogies, Antonyms, Jumbled paragraphs with 4 or 5 sentences, Sentence Correction, Foreign language words used in English, Sentence completion, Sentence correction, odd man out, idioms, one word substitution, etc.

Logical/Abstract Reasoning : Reasoning ability, Numerical reasoning, Analytical reasoning, Verbal reasoning, etc.
