INTAKES IN NZ AND APPLICATION DEADLINES IN NZ

  • There are generally two Intakes in New Zealand: February and July
  • However, ITPs and Private Institute have multiple intakes for different courses
  • Hence, practically there is an intake every month in some or the other institution resulting in recruitment throughout the year
  • There is no deadline as such in New Zealand, the but it is recommended to make applications at least 6 months prior to the start date to avoid last moment hassles.

Winning Profile for Visa

  • Good academic record – 60% and above aggregate in Class 10th and 12th and over 50% aggregate in subsequent tertiary qualification with minimal backlogs, if any
  • IELTS score or equivalent score of TOEFL or PTE as per NZQA requirement
  • Student’s immediate family’s is verifiable evidence of funds to meet the Educational and living expenses in NZ – including paper trial to explain any recent hi value deposits in accounts
  • Verifiable evidence of regular source of sufficient income of financial sponsors/ guarantors
  • Intended course of study relevant to qualifications and/or work experience which shows logical progression
  • Meet health and character requirements

Funds Requirement for New Zealand Student Visa

  • If the course duration is less than or equal to one academic year, then provide documentary evidence of funds for tuition fee for the entire course duration + NZ$ 20,000 towards living expenses in New Zealand + NZ$ 2,000 towards airfare
  • If the course duration is longer than one academic year, then provide documentary evidence of funds for the first year as mentioned above + payment plan to show the student has access to funds and has ability to meet the rest of the course cost and living expenses in New Zealand
  • Form 16 of the sponsor showing income and saving patterns.
  • EPF or GPF accumulated over a period of 1 year.
  • Fixed deposits.
  • NSC due for maturity in the following year.
  • LIC due for maturity in the following year.

NOTE :- Please note that Immigration New Zealand (INZ) does not accept land documents and/or property valuation as payment plan.

Documents for New Zealand Student Visa

  • Completed application forms and supplementary information form.
  • Visa application fee (Online- 430 NZD)
  • Original passport
  • Covering letter & SOP
  • Financial documents
  • Affidavit of support from sponsor
  • Evidence of English language ability – IELTS/TOEFL/PTE score card
  • E-Medicals acknowledgement of medical test from empaneled doctor which should not be more than 3 months old
  • Original police clearance certificate (must be less than 6 months old at the time of visa filing)
  • Aadhar Card, Passport & Pan Card Copy of sponsors. (any one of these).
  • Income Tax returns of each sponsors for last 3 years.
  • Copy of Birth Certificate of Student. (not mandatory if the student doesn’t have it)
  • Notary attested Academic Documents from 10th, 12th, Bachelors.
  • Notary attested IELTS Score Card/ PTE/ TOEFL, if student has given PTE then candidate login ID and Password is required
  • Work experience letter along with salary account statement.
  • Medical Reports from Panel Doctor- It should not be 3 Months Old (Please check on link as below for list of empaneled doctors)
  • Police Clearance Certificate (Police certificates must be less than six months old when you submit your application)
  • Statement of Purpose
  • Updated Resume
  • Notary attested Passport of the student along with Copy of First & Last page.
  • Student Visa Application Form (INZ 1012), Student Visa Declaration Form (INZ 1226) and Supplementary Information form completed and duly signed.
  • Online Visa Questionnaire form (Detailed Information should be provided as per question)
  • Digital coloured photograph 45 mm height by 35 mm width (Size should be 381*528 pixels) (with face minimum 70% and maximum 80%) on non white but light color background.
  • Offer Letter from Education Institution.
  • Financial Undertaking form (INZ 1014) from each sponsor
  • Affidavit of Support from sponsors on 100Rs Notary Stamp papers.

Acceptable Funds and Sponsors for New Zealand Visa

  • Education Loan sanction letter from nationalized or multi nationalized bank
  • Latest bank account statements for the past 6 months. It should not be more than 1 week old at the time of lodgment of application
  • Fixed deposits copy and balance certificate from bank
  • PPF/ PF/ GPF withdrawable amount
  • Parents and only immediate relatives (blood relations) should ideally sponsor the student. Only one sponsor is accepted by INZ
  • The funds should be at least six months old. If recent funds are to be shown then documentary evidence in support of every instance of recent deposits should be provided.
  • Evidence of source of income of the student’s financial sponsors to be provided.

The sponsors must provide documentary evidence of their identity including date of birth, proof of relationship with student and full contact details including telephone numbers.

Suggestive Tips for NZ Student Visa

For some students, New Zealand Immigration conducts Telephonic interviews. In the following cases student visas are refused.

  • Not having sufficient knowledge about the Course/ Institution applied.
  • Lack of clarity regarding future plans.
  • Discrepancies in work experience letter/details provided by the student and as cross verified by the visa officer during telephonic verification with the employer.
  • Shown Funds that could not be verified.
